The BIG Debate!
Today was a big day for me, I slept for 4 hours straight, that's a record! yet that was hardly the issue. The BIG Debate is whether I go back to Kuwait or stay here in Humid Dubai. I find myself in a rut with no solution. "HELP!".. Weighing out the odds: Advantages vs. Disadvantages of Staying in Dubai or Leaving to Kuwait Staying: I've grown used to this place, it's been 3 years and 6 months since the first day I stepped foot in Dubai. Some of my closest friends and confidants are here and I'm not sure if I can leave them behind after all. I can't believe I'm done with college! 6 YEARS!!!! 3 Years of Industrial Engineering and 3 Years of Finance! Dubai is a nice city, it's such a big melting pot of cultures, I met people from all around the world, and I started thinking out of the box... away from the Kuwaiti Stereotypes. I love my place it's my home away from home and I'm not sure I can leave that as well. Lastly, I'm more comfortable with the lifestyle here in dubai. it's more laid back. Leaving: I miss my family! I miss my good friends.. I MISS MY COUNTRY, people!!!!... it's not like I can't take a flight back home whenever I felt like it.. and that's what I used to do on my first year here.. there wasn't a single weekend through out that year that I wasn't in Kuwait.. (it's only an hour's flight away) But within time.. my visits lessened.. I'm getting used to Dubai... loving it... and imagine, it's been over 5 months since my last visit to Kuwait. I don't know if I'm talking non-sense.. but it reflects my frustration right now! COMMENTS PLEASE!! |

post a commenti say if you want to have a life, and live like a proper human, in all aspects, stay in dubai.. once you start working ur visits can be longer to kuwait...
if you care about money and thats whats most important, go to kuwait... kuwait has nothing to offer but money.
my advise to u is do what your heart tells u to do not what your freinds say , but dont forget that u have family right here in dubai and that family are your good freinds who will always be there for u inshallah no matter what

Stay till u can afford to experiment with life . Visit family often. Move back once you get what you're old, hit mid-life crisis and reach the stage where you start asking yourself 'who am I? Where do I belong?'. At that point ur ready to move back n take over as 'the man of the house' (and in time to nurse the old folk).
i think that you need help. i cant imagine not living in kuwait. kuwait is the best place to live in. if i talk about kuwait and say how it is great i will not finsh. aslen how could you even have a debate about this subject. if you decide to stay in dubai then stay because kuwait MA TABY ILY MA YABEHA. السلام عليكم بنسبة لموضوعك الرجوع الى الكويت او البقاء في دبي انا لا اخالفك الراي ان دبي هي من متصدرين دول العالم في الاعمال و الفرص و هناك يوجد بها خليط كبير من الجنيسات التي ساعتدك على روئية الصورة الكبيرة في العالم و اوضحت لك معنى العيش في عالم لا يتصف بصفة عربية تعتمد عليها .. انا من رايي ان دبي هي فقط نقطة الانطلاق و يجب تكملة المشوار في بلدك الكويت التي ربتك و اسدت لك الجمائل الكثيرة التي انت بنهاية محكم ان ترد لها بعض فضائلها .. لاتذكير ببعض الفضائل الكويت جعلت منك انسان يحترم بفضل الجنسية التي حملتها و هي البيت الحميم الدافء الذي تستند علية في وقت كانت دبي محطة عابرة في الحياة تاخذها بعدد من السنين لغرض كان في نفسك كبير بنهاية لا ننكر فضل دبي ولكن رد الامانة و الجميل الي اصحابة و هي الكويت .. (ملاحظة انا لم اذكر الجوانب الاسرية لنها معروفة لديك و تكوين الصداقات و شكرا)
hmm.. good question. i would have the same doubt if i where u.. to weight the benefits and disadvantage of both countries. However, living in Dubai alone, with out family, exposes you to real life... provides you with expereinceon how to survive in this life without the help of your family. my advise would be to stay alittle longer for another year or two (since you where here for 3 years already) and then decide to leave back to your family. However let me remind you that this is just another friends opinion.... look deep into your heart and head, remind yourself of your goals in life and how best to acheive them. would they best be acheived here or in Kuwait? losts of questions to ask your self.
I think you scould stay..You seem to have stronger arguments about staying than leaving. Friends is always a difficulty in situations like this, but you mentioned that you have your closest friends in Dubai so I would probably stay if I were in your shooes. And as you said yourfself, It's only an hour's flight away. Hope you can decide..;)
i really hope that the people that are telling you to stay are not kuwaities because it seems they dont care for the best country a person can live in. i have a question for you. will you be a bachelor for the rest of your life and stay with your parents? i think that you will get marred soon and you will not have time to stay with your wife and your parents so come back to kuwait and enjoy every moment of it. it is sad that your best friends are from dubai. what happened to ur friends in kuwait? alaaaaaaaaaa esam7ik

offcourse kuwait arent u tired of all the hassel in dubai and for heavens sake go to a country where u will find majority ArAbS not to a country where 90 percent are pakistanys and indians and 5 percent afghany and iranians and the rest are pure uae but seriously dubai is a lovely place its the city that never sleeps :P
