Gitex Today!

It's nothing like I pictured it.. I had such high hopes, I was expecting much more from the people behind Gitex.. I'm so glad I didn't waste my time the past 4 years by going to it.. One of my friends is here from Kuwait just for Gitex.. he came to my place at around 4 PM.. our get together was scheduled a night earlier.. so I had to come up with a plan on how the day should go.. ofcourse Gitex is the main treat of the day.. and since it's less than a kilometer away.. SOMEONE who wasn't even coming with us suggested that we walk there cause we won't be able to find a parking spot.. when I heard that.. I thought it was so do-able! but oh no!.. We left at around 4:30.. we reached there at around 4:45 one of us had pre-registered and got his entry card right away.. but the other guy and myself had to fill the entry application... and you have to show a business card or at least a company name and position to get in.. luckily I had a few on me.. he filled out the application and we payed for the tickets.. like we're going for a show.. and then! they just refused to let him in cause he didn't have a company name on his application.. and since he's a student he has to go to another gate that is waaay far!... We went in.. after that horrible Background Check if I may... and honestly I wasn't impressed a bit with what was there... it was less than mediocre.. We left at around 7:30.. my friends were already tired.. and couldn't walk back home.. we looked for a taxi.. but not even a single cab was out there! so we had to walk back... I felt that the guys were cursing me under their teeth! and I might have thought the same about that person who gave me that suggestion... it was so hot and humid... and the walk is less than scenic.. end of story... the bottom line... go somewhere else :)
