my "i cant wait"'s

Aaaah its Ramadan again... such a magical month.. i can already feel the magic in the air..

Ramadan to me is special, and today being its first day i cant wait to go home and smell the fresh baked dough of elgaymat, pakora and samoosa's being fried, the "dihn" from the harees... HmmMmm... I cant wait to go home and see my mom covered up with a prayers veil, smelling like food, going back and forth between the kitchen to check on our food and the food needed to be sent to the needy, and; her Koran... I cant wait to see my dad counting the hours left for his kids to break fast... I cant wait to see the look on our drivers face, him being all busy but still happy for it being the first day... i cant wait for the family gathering for "iftar"... i cant wait to see my niece and nephews first Ramadan together... i cant wait to see my cousin for "iftar" (she was away for the last one)... i cant wait for that one show that i have to watch no matter how stupid it is... i cant wait for our weekly gatherings... i cant wait to stay up late with my friends and family... i cant wait to hear the imam recite the Koran during taraweeh (and the plan of either to go or stay lazy at home)... i cant wait for my mom to wake me up at 4:00 am for suhoor... i cant wait to hear the imam call for morning prayer... i cant wait for the good deeds i want to do... i cant wait for the prayers i want to say... i cant wait to start running after the goals i have set on the first day of Ramadan (and during the year probably)... i cant wait for the last ten days of Ramadan... i cant wait to have those special Ramadan talks with my mom... i cant wait to love... i cant wait to give... i cant wait... i cant wait...

i go to sleep.. i wake up... its another day... i cant wait for all of these things all over again...

what cant U wait for during this holy month?

That was a nice piece of writing... I liked that. Though I might not be as keen towards a few of the points mentioned I would have to say:

I cant wait for the late night discussions with my friends, I cant wait to appreciate food in the evening, I cant wait to lose the 2kilos I gained this summer, I cant wait for people to start driving even worse than they already do, I cant wait to hear people moaning and complaining that they cant do XYZ because theyre tired from fasting, I cant wait to see people grumpy, I cant wait for people to gain more weight in one month than they do over the entire year, I cant wait for business to slow down to a standstill I cant wait for the month to be over and sanity resumes :)

well i dont know what its like in Dubai, bes here things grind to a halt. It is an extremely inefficient month and typically nothing gets done across both government and private sectors.

People buy too much food, tons is wasted, people pile on pounds, everyone comes to work exhausted from the night before, and probably most scary is the fact that peoples driving is even worse than usual (i need to reinforce this part!!!)

Amen ;)
